All Aboard! There's a little less than 12 weeks until these two historic events:
1. My 35th birthday
2. The start of the historic wagon train that will follow the historic Dalles Military Road.
The train will roll out of Huntington, Oregon on August 8. This coincides with Huntington's Pioneer Days. At about 20 miles a day, the route will follow the Snake River, head thru the Fossil beds, and back to the Gorge and finish in The Dalles around September 17, just in time for Historic The Dalles Days.
You can go as a walker/wagon rider, or as an outrider on horseback, or bring your own wagon and team to join the fun. $35 a day to walk/ride and if you can go the whole time, it's $250. Half the trip runs $150.
I'm beginning to plan and scheme....
